Redeveloping the 1970s.
The industrial design team of Charles and Ray Eames also made a number of noteworthy short films in the 1960s and 70s such as Tops (1969) and Powers of Ten (1977). This single-reel 16mm short exercise was devised to capture a similar aesthetic and period feel. In preparation, the Eames’ extended Polaroid SX-70 Ad was a key inspiration. Though were folks taking Polaroid selfies in the 1970s? The piece was shot on Kodak 250D color film.
